There may be a quick (relatively) way to verify. Inside the box where the starter battery is (under the hood, right rear) there may be a funny shaped plastic cover with two pairs of finger grip releases. Remove that cover and see if there is a metal 1/4" (approx) pin sticking out toward the front with a really big wire attached to it. That is a remote pin to keep the battery buried back between the rear seat and inner trunk wall attached to a battery tender if you use one. If it's not there, then you probably have one battery for everything. If you have that pin, there will be a ground bolt/screw attached to the front of the front shock tower. This info may be listed in your owners manual. I could be wrong about that. MB may consider that too much information for us dumb owners.
