Replacing wing-mirror indicator unit
Hi there
A brilliant driver took my wing mirror out this afternoon while driving past me.
Motors look good (mirror casing still folds in easily, and the mirror mount motors still move). I need a new mirror and a new indicator unit.
Does anyone know how easy the indicator unit is to fit yourself? I'm guessing it won't take long, or be too expensive if I get someone else to do it, but if its easy, I might as well do it myself!
Thanks in advance.

It is quite straightforward. You don't need to remove the mirror assembly from the car. Just pop the mirror off and there are a number of screws and a few electrical connectors to get it out.
I had to do so a few months ago and when you get he mirror off it becomes quite obvious how it comes apart.

Thanks! I don't even need to worry about popping the mirror out because the force of the impact did that for me (and smashed the mirror into a million tiny pieces...). So no special tools etc required then by the sounds of it?
