Looking to purchase a CL550/500 4matic blueefficiency
Hello,
My car (Audi S3 8V) was totalled when some idiot crashed into me on the highway and I'm now looking into purchasing a replacement car (insurance money) and I've always fancied a CL500 4matic coupe with the M278 engine but could'nt afford it used 5 years ago so I'm now thinking it's time to get myself one as their prices have dropped significantly since.
What should I look out for when purchasing one of these? Is there a specific model year I should buy (any major changes from 2011-2014 models?)
My reason for picking this car is the following: As I am getting older, I am starting to lean towards comfort and effortless power rather than a sports car and this has all the power I'd ever need, the compact size, luxury, tech, style etc.
I'd rather get an S coupe but those are still way too expensive (120k $ used) in my country so that wont be an option.
Also, how reliable are these usually? Is it a good buy today or would you recommend other options?
Thanks!

I am no expert but I would recommend models with the facelift - 2012 to 2014. However probably best to go for 2014 models as Mercedes would have ironed out a lot of issues with the older models, or so you would hope.
I might be wrong but I think that the ABC issues were fixed after the 2012 models - someone can maybe confirm or correct me.
Look for ones that have had their software updated.
These are great cars - I use mine as a daily driver (you only live once - so enjoy it rather than leaving it in the garage).
