Can I used staggered wheel on a 4 matic CL?
I ask because My S Coupe has staggered and it's all wheel drive. Aren't they the same set up?
Just bought this car and hate the wheels, I can find the staggered wheels, will it work like the 15-up 4 matics?

I talked with Mercedes and they said, if I use the same tire size as my S 4 matic, it will be fine. I also decided to do the staggered wheels but use the original tires because they are brand new. I called Continental and they said the tire that is on the car has the ability to fit on an 8” to 10” rim without affecting the tires ability to seal or change the performance. I’ll have the same size tires all the way around. They said that the wider rim wouldn’t change the geometry of the setup. When the tires wear out, I’ll stagger the size but I’m not wasting a brand new set of Continentals to have staggered tires.
Update: I put the bought new tires even though I had new tires on the car. I went with the 245 40 20 on the front and 275 35 20 on the rear. It is the exact same configuration as all the newer 4Matics and the guy at Mercedes said they would work without any issues at all. The speed sensors would make up for any variables, as that is their purpose.

My 2009 with 4-matic came from the factory with staggered setup. However, when I bought new tires from the dealer( price matched ) they put the same size front and back. I had no issues with the staggered sizes though.

Of course, you can! The rolling circumference needs to be the same. Some of the tire sites quote tire sizes by diameter. My wife's C43 has staggered sizes and it's a Fourmatic.
