I'm new to this site and I'd want to say a big thank you to everyone for sharing their experiences.
I recently bought a 2011 Mercedes CL500 with heated and cooled front seats.
I became aware that the heating system is malfunctioning.
The backrest does NOT heat UP AT ALL on EITHER SEAT.
Nevertheless, the seating area is warming up as usual.
I initially assumed that the driver's seat might have its own issue and did not look into it further, but now I have noticed that the passenger seat shares the same issues.
I know it sounds silly, but is this the best way for them to operate? Heating only the sitting area?
It seems odd that the error or problem affected both seats.
Please let me know if you had the same issue and, if so, how you handled it.
Thanks

The back should heat up as well. Not sure what the problem could be. If you don't yet have a code reader, you may want to buy one such as a Foxwell specifically for MB. It might tell you the problem.
