2007 CL600 phone questions

I’m looking to move up from my 2002 CL600 that I purchased new to a 2007 CL600. One of the things I liked about the 2002 was the integrated V60 phone that is no longer supported by Verizon. My question is – does the 2007 also have an integrated phone or do I have to use Bluetooth and my smartphone?

And if I have to use my smartphone, can I play music from my phone as well as having the phone functionality?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Bob

Just fit Apple Play and be done with it
None of the original M-B approved phones have 5G and Apple Play replaces the whole (dated) interface
Cost me in Central London with a mobile electrician £490 and links to iPhone 12

Back in the day when the car was new, Mercedes indeed provided phone cradles to fit the MHI connector in your console. None of those phones from that era work today and it was shortly thereafter that Mercedes built bluetooth telephone connection into the COMAND radios and stopped introducing new phone cradles. In the interim, there is a Bluetooth "puck" that mounts to the same console connector that is your best solution. No, the puck does not receive music via Bluetooth, just telephony ... you require an aftermarket Bluetooth receiver that connects to aux input in glove box for music. As regards auto entertainment and telephony, 2007 and 2023 are apples and oranges. In 2007, Mercedes was ready for your iPod, connected via wire.
