3 CL65's @ $17k off MSRP!

To anyone that might be interested I have (3) 2005 CL65's available & my Gen. Mgr. has given me authority to do whatever it takes to move these cars!! I told him that the number must be well below invoice & he told me to go $17,000 off the MSRP. Here are the specs. on the three that I have left:

1. Flint Grey/Charcoal w/Parktronic & Keyless Go
$183,360 - $17,000 = $166,360 (Pre-MBZ February Price Increase)

2. Brilliant Silver/Charcoal
$182,820 - $17,000 = $165,820 (Post-MBZ February Price Increase)

3. Black/Charcoal w/Parktronic & Keyless Go
$184,960 - $17,000 = $167,960 (Post-MBZ February Price Increase)

Plese feel free to contact me directly at 714-562-1179 or e-mail me at marcus_benz@hotmail.com

Sad? Why? There's just better options in that range.

I just got done making an offer of $128k for a new CL65 AMG, this is for a brand new Brilliant Silver over Charcoal. The dealership has countered at $140k, but I believe I will hold tight for the near term on my $128k. They have 3 on the lot and are looking to move them. I can't imagine that there is much of a market for $180k coupes in today's US economy. At $140k, they are willing to take $43k below invoice - what a deal. However, if they are willing to take $43k under, I bet they take $55k under. I'll find out shortly...

Good luck with the offer. What dealership is this? I'm trying to find a nicely discounted used CL55.

So, lemme get this straight. Do you really think a dealership is going to sell you that car for what a CL600 is at MSRP or anywhere near for that matter? CL65's are going for $160k on Mannheim, so your offer of $128k is patently ridiculous. What is also ridiculous is your statement that the dealership countered at $140k. Let's see that in writing. I will go buy it tomorrow and flip it at auction and MAKE money.

2003 CL55
Why would a dealer order a CL65 without Parktronic and Keyless Go? Too bad MB made so many CL55's and now, apparently CL65's. The former exclusivity of AMG obviously was not a concern. The cars are still incredible, but there are just too many around.

Schwarzwagen, why the hostility man? The guy probably has better things to do with his time than to come onto this site and lie... why would he do that? He is just letting us know what is going on in his neck of the woods and I for one at least do care to know since I plan on buying a 65 at some point.

Well said... too many around. And also you are 100% right on the parktronic and keyless go (nevermind distronic, TPS, and trunk closer). You really have to have your head up your butt as a dealer to order a 180K car without two options that cost $995 (that I use a lot mind you). But worse, MB should have all this standard on a 65.

Well, I think this guy is up to his ears in BS. I, personally, don't own a dealership, but a good friend of mine does. He thinks it's total BS that a dealership would counter offer this guy at $140k. He would tell the guy to go shopping. There is 7% profit in a Mercedes, a dealership will not be in business for long if they offered customers 25% off routinely. Not only that, the dealership would loose less money if they put the car into the rental fleet and depreciated it!

So, not being hostile. Just realistic. As to why he might lie, to get attention like every other attention *****, geez.

Why don't you believe him? This is nothing to lie about.

Here is a CL65 with only 120 miles going for $140,000.

Here's another one for $144,000.

Wagenboy,

Are you ready to eat crow? It looks like Chris just served you a plate. Why would I waste my time here if the deal wasn't real. So far today, the dealer is not budging on my offer of 128k. I'm in no rush, I was just trying to steal a great car. I'm in the Southeast, the 180k coupe market is non-existent.

I'd be p'ed to if I bought one in CA for sticker, you have every right to be mad.

60 miles used? 120 miles used? Never titled, used? BTW, neither of those are the one I made the offer on. I am not in Florida.

Do you see a used vehicle sticker in the window? I only see the new sticker...

It is standard practice for internet savvy dealers to list new cars on ebay as used. Selling new vehicle on the web is a violation of most dealer's contracts, hence the used listing.

Regardless, there are many like deals to be had on the 2005 CL's nationwide. Unfortunately, you won't find the same deal on the SL's. Convertibles are in much higher demand.
