Here Are Pics Of My Cl

Finally I got most of the thing I wanted done to the car. Tell me what you all think. What you all think about the kit...I feel like changing it out to an AMG kit. Also, for those that have 20s on their car, are you rubbing - mine scrap towards the back near the bumper and wheel-weld when I go over small dips.

Great CL !

1st.. Did you have the fenders rolled ?
2nd..And most important, There is a about 3 inch section inside the out rear fender well that needs to grinded down ..It is at the top outside corner of the well.... You cannot see it without taken the tire off.... Most wheel shops will Roll the fender but mot grind that part off... You have to find a motoring or tuner shop to do it..alot of CL and S class run as I do a 275/30/20 10 inch rim
245/35/20 9 inch rim

Call around locally and if they do not know right away what your talking about hang up and call someone who has done it many times..If your in Socal I can refer you.

Is that a WALD kit? it looks pretty good, I wouldn't go through the trouble of changing it to an AMG. Too costly... and I am not sure even if it was free that it looks a whole lot better. If your tires are rubbing you may have the wrong offset on your wheels. It is sitting pretty low too so that doesn't help. Check those wheel offsets.

Nice car....

If it was the offset..It would rubb really bad... In LA are we need to roll and grind the fenders because we roll low and wide ( no chuck wagons)... Your CL sits perfect.. You cannot have this setup in the northeast because of road conditions. You probably have a 38 or a 40 rear which is fine.

Thanks for the complements.

AMG2GO- yes the front is Wald and the back is Carslson.

benzondubz- i really do need your refer to a local LA shop. Actually the car rubbed even when it is raised up. So the only time I lowered it is when I drive around local street, but for the freeway I have to raise it. Do you really think the fender roll will do the job. It seem like I have to do a huge fender roll to make it work. I don't know my offset but will find out if that help you to help me out.

where did you get the wheels from? I am suspicious of the offset. If its a few mm too close to the outside, that can do it. What size are the tires? how much did you lower it?

so you painted the side markers? you should update the taillights. I liked the old ones better at first but after a while the new ones grew on me. Its an easy update.

tell me the tire size...

AMG2GO- I got the wheel form Asanti, I just called them up and they said it was the right offset for the CL. I am running 245/35/20 and 275/30/20 in the rear. I lowered the car about 1.75" but when I drive on the freeway I raised it up all the way and it still rubbed. I will take it to one of the shop benzondubz suggested and hope they can solve the problem. I too liked the old rear lights but now it seems like the new ones start looking good to me. I probably get a Lorinser read spoiler first and tinted the window before that rear lights. Are there any other spoilers beside Lorinser...I've been searching all over for some different than Lorinser.

Tire size seems right... well see what the shops can do.... you may just be at the limits with no mods to the fender... 1.75" is a pretty good drop so that isn't helping things. Let us know what happens.

There are others that make that lip spoiler. CLK&SLK got his here:
