Lamborghini/CL55 At Red Light........
Light goes green I jump out a bit he putters...15 mph on to a on ramp. That was a once in a lifetime event I really wish he would of WOT....I was ready. Im sure he would of kicked my butt.... but it would of been a blast. As my wife was putiing on her seatbelt knowing what was going to happen I turned off the ESP...In the hopes we were gona go at it...Is this the correct way to get these bad boys up and going or am I better off just standing on it?

With ESP off you would have probably spun the tires while the Lambo blasted on by. Leave ESP on; It is hard enough to hook up with ESP on as it is.

The traction control part is actually quite good on this car. I find that it will really bog you in other cars. Still, esp wants NO tire spin while a little tire spin is actually OK and probably faster. You CAN get your best launch without ESP, if you really know how to handle that car. If you don't have enough experience, or if conditions are bad (wet, etc.) you are probably better off with ESP on.
You may want to make a few practice runs with ESP off and get the feel for it.

proform, AMG2GO advice makes the most sense.
But since you ask, as of late I've been practicing the following routine, if I qualify "street" and not "track". The guys with experience on the track trump my ramblings below.
On the street I go manual mode, ESP on. With a slight amount of power braking (~<1000 RPM), you can get the car to lurch first, add a touch more throttle to get the supercharger to kick-in, then gradually feed on the power.
With practice one can balance a small amount of wheel spin and ESP won't activate. Too much throttle and the tires zing and the ESP Christmas tree dance starts. In essence, on the street you don't want the supercharger to come on too soon coming out of the hole in first gear.
Oh ... and with this street start, I'm actually not floored until after the second gear shift has completed. As an aside, this is part of the reason I use manual mode, I don't want it to upshift into first early.
I'm also contrarian in the belief that in real world situations, this car is much faster in manual mode if the driver stays on the ball than if the car is kept in auto. But that is subjective and difficult to prove ...
I practice in manual mode with ESP on for wet pavement, manual mode with ESP off for dry pavement. I find that this gives me a good starting point for judging how far I can push it before wheel spin and traction control kicks-in.
