2003 CL55
is it worth the money for this cl55?
hi guys i need your help, there is 2003 cl55 with 30000 miles, with 20 inch lowen hart rims, black on tan. for 48000 dollars, pretty good price, however it has a salvage title, the seller says that it had damage to the frunt bumper, light and hood worth 15000. what do you guys think. should i go for it or not. I have not done the carfax since I don't have the vin yet.

Not even on a Mercedes.
It had to have frame damage and that's why the insurance company totaled it.
Is it still covered by the original warranty when it has a salvage title?
Unless my mechanic can give me a strong sense of comfort on it, I'd be leary.

Sounds fishy. Could be a good deal, could also be a bad deal. US$48K is a lot to gamble with... Unless some expert MB mechanic gives the green light (and then I'd still be cautious) I'd walk away. But that's just me.

thanks guys for your prompt response. I decided to walk away from it. since I am from canada, there might be more complications of importing a car with that title and likly pay insurance premiums up the ying yang. rather wait and get a clean 55.
