ABC Pump
I have the same car as you.
2000 CL500
When my pump went the car had 28K miles on it.
But standard 5 Year warranty had expired.
This was about a year ago.
One morning the pump started making a whining
noise. Got louder after the short drive to work.
No warning lights or other symptoms.
Took it to the dealer. I remember S/A saying it would be like
$ 4000.00 to replace w/Labor. Thank god for extended warranty.
The impeller in the pump was going out.
That is about the only major issue I have had with this car.
