A new low in value

Holy cow, a 2003 with 35k miles for 51k!
It's an incredible deal if it's clean.

How about the black 65 for $116k, with only 3600+ miles?

I bid on the CL 65

I am likely going to buy in the next few days...Why are they being discounted so? I have my eye on an 2005 black w/6600 miles 102k? So far I have not gotten anyone to come lower than 102 but I like this one

The CL is by far the slowest selling MB car. It stays just ahead of the G-wagen in sales.

Good news, the seller ended the bidding early due to a mistake in the listing price.

As a buyer sure, but you'd have to find a verrry needy seller.
I'd say this is a low probability event.

$100K is more than fair for a brand new CL65, that is more than $80K off the MSRP on a new car. I would purchase a CL65 for that price over an M6, as much as I may love that BMW. CL65...6 Litre V12 BiTurbo...handbuilt AMG motor...all that torque...

Jesus. I know I'm just another whinging foreigner. But here you'd only be able to get a CL500 for $US100,000 - there are no 65's for sale, but new they cost $US337,000 or so. Still see a few around though!

Amazing!
That means the wholesale must be in the low 90's!

That seems a bit extreme - a very careful review of this car's history might be prudent.

I'd hate to take a 45+% haircut in just 1 year!

Yeah I am shocked, and excited, I may have to change my nik FLYCL65. Car would still have 40 months of warranty depending on when it was first sold. I think I would rather have the BITURBO engine than the new s 550 body. Cars are same price. The S550 I want prices out @103k...What would you do?

For me, it would come down to want and need --- tempered by the fact that I'm a cheapskate and I'd be looking at the depreciation factor. The S550 will lose more - at least it would appear so.

In this case speed wins, to quote Deep Purple in Highway Star, "I love it, I need it".

Plus in 12 months when I was tired of the CL, I could trade it for the S550 and get money back.

Amazing we think ALIKE...That is exactly what I am contemplating..I think once several models are avail in the new style plus the S being out 16 months, the prices will dropski and the CL likely will hold value better considering the monster depreciation has already happened...

Upon further review and a carfax , this CL had been repurchased by MBUSA as a "lemon" now being offered by the dealer ..The "lemon " status is reflected on title, I bet that causes trouble when trying to market this vehicle..No thanks . Good news is the Cl 65 is selling for more like 110-145k used. I will be real lucky to get someone to come down to 100k

Just looking at you're signature, I've never seen a E55 in the color. Do you have any pics?
