I just saw the new CL65 at Hilton Long Beach
It sure does look crappy, the back of the car just killed the whole look of the CL...it would of had been a nice car.
blahzayblah....yea why does the exhaust tips sticked out so far
did you ever fix that problem?

The Best of Mercedes & AMG
In So Cal... you see many of these. Specially Nissan/Toyota/and Honda and all the luxury brands.
As you have seen test mules for the M3 too around LA.
I remember a few years back. I was on the 5fwy GRAPE Vine area and I stopped at a Carls Jr up there. I saw for the first time a P Cayenne Turbo.. months before the official release. The guy had the same set up, Lap top, gages, and bunch of trash around the vehicle.
Good catch!

in the official pics. I'd say it is a CL63, not a CL65, but it really doesn't matter because we really can't tell which engine is under there without seeing the engine itself.

boy, that brochure pic of the new AMG looks awesome! Great color, great angle. The front end grille and lights harken back to the 80's/90's SEC large coupes; anyone else feeling that?
On the other hand, that photo makes me wonder what the car "really" looks like, since the camera angle guarantees the hood will look really long and swoopy in the photo, and it sets off all the AMG tidbits in all the right ways...
But hell, those spy shots really kill the mood!!! That rear-end is going to take some getting used to. Don't even get me started on the taillights, either...
We'll see, though. I'm still not digging the new S class sedans, now that I see several everyday on the street, although I'm beginning to appreciate the AMG bodyworked versions more than when I first saw the photos. Perhaps the CL will have the same effect over time.
If nothing else, with regards to the rear-view of the car, MB is probably very happy that the Solara has officially been EOL'd by Toyota.
