Ill get some pics of it tommarow morning. Also I believe he paid 124 out the door for it. Not bad for a car just released this week and fully loaded witht he lorinsors. Not to mention how many people wanted to buy that car. Lucky for him he was the first one to see and hear about it. Dealer had a few other people lining up if his purchase didnt go through.

There was nothing like the Edsel on the road in its day, either, and everyone knows where that ended up. I saw the new CL in the window at BH MBZ the other day and thought to myself, well, looks like I stop at MY 2005 with this company. Bad enough they don't build 'em like they used to; now that the styling's gone rogue too, what is the vaunted 3 pointed star supposed to mean anymore?

I want to see the AMG or Sport Package in person. I am suspicious of the angles all the 'press' photos have been taken at. Sitting on the floor looking at the car, it may look better, however, we don't really look at the car from the floor in most circumstances.
I thought to myself while at the dealer looking at the CL550, "No sport package is going to make this look much better".
But, I want to see !

cannot agree more..... it's not making good sense to spend extra to make the new car look acceptable and appealing ... recall that models like CLS, S, SL, SLK, ML and even E look great without needing new rims and kit.

eeeeeeeeeeeeeeWWWW!!!!!
Honestly.
I had a 1999 cl500 and was going to wait for the new one but got the cls55 instead. I just cannot justify the $$$ for something that looks that "frumpy".

At Silver Star in Westlake Village they have a new CL500 parked next to a 06 CL500...
It is interesting to see the two parked next to each other.

i dunno if it's just me... but if i look at the front from the side, it looks a bit like volvo... i think that's the worst scenario a CL can get..

I drive a E55T, SLK55 and 65 Mustang Conv.
We are going to the Los Angeles auto show on Wednesday to see the CL63. We saw the CL550 at MB of Valencia and they too had it marked up by $30k. What surprised me was that we stood there looking at the car for a good 15 minutes, drove up in a E55T and no one even asked us if we were interested.
As far as the new vs. old body style debate goes I know I would LOVE for Wolf to get a slightly used CL65 in the old body style rather than the new CL65 we have on order but he won't even talk about it.

06 CLS55 AMG & 08 CL65 Mystic White
I like it, AMG is a MUST for this new body style. Without it, no way!

With the price you can pick up a W215 CL65 now for, I would say HELL YA !
I am just not feeling the new body style yet.... I don't know if I ever will.
I do like the new Audi R8 though
