what kind of stupid comment is that? design and look are all subjective..
for me, i hate the BGT.... as i have always commented that it looks like a piece of soap and look very clumsy.... not sporty at all.

This is true with everything I suppose. I think we have seen and will continue to see a "Love it or Hate it" view on the W216 body. Much like we have seen on Bangles BMW designs.
For me, I feel most the new Mercedes designs look too much like everything else that is out there. Even across model lines. Sadly, I will more than likely look into another marque soon when it comes time to replace my W215 CL.
I guess this is what makes the world interesting. We all have different tastes and desires. If we were all the same it would be quite a boring world.
One thing we all should agree on is that most the engineering in the new models is a thing of beauty.

It is funny to read these old threads, funny how beautiful the CL with the AMG package looks compared with the previous model. I think time changes these designs and the ones we like. I love the classic look of older models but it is interesting how the new ones grow on you.

I have an 09 cl550 and would love to see this happen.
On a separate note does anyone know if 2011 Headlights will fit a 2009 CL550? I remember when I owned an 07 Range Rover and every dealer, Maitnence guy everyone told me the new 2010 LED rear tai lights wouldn't fit and work and I bought them anyway and they fit and worked perfect so I want someone to answer that actually knows for a fact whether it will or not.
