A car collector from Los Angeles saw it parked at Cars and Coffee in Irvine, California last Saturday. He picked up one of my flyers on the windshield and really liked the car. We talked and I took him for a little blast down the freeway. After we returned, he wanted to know my bottom line. My flyer said $66,000 obo. Told him $62K and we shook hands. Today, Monday, he bought the car and it is a done deal. I was able to get a good price for the following 4 reasons:1) Car only had 12,800 miles 2) Flawless Condition 3) Mercedes Warranty through May, 2010 4) My location in Southern California and showing the car in a very affluent area. Pretty funny to me how I sold it with a handmade flyer at a coffee meet, but could not sell it on E-Bay, Autotrader.com and various Mercedes forums and other ads. Turned down many offers in the range of $50-60K. You get what you pay for!
