CL69 AMG anyone??
![](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v666/loop68/DSC00301.jpg)
Photographed on the streets of London, England this afternoon. Had yellow AMG brake calipers. More pics incoming.
Anyone have info on this beast?
I am quite sure this is not just some cheap rebadging

Ah, but that is exactly what it is, a cheesy re-badge. There has never been a CL69, especially in the previous C215 bodystyle. This car represents all that is wrong with such badge jobs.

looks like the bloke got a hold of another 6 from some other badge and turned it upside down.
A couple of years ago, the 69s were rumored to be some sort of sport version of the 65, which is kind of a redundant notion to begin with. On the other hand, we may see a 69 designation on the next AMG v12, when they switch to the 4 valve design, what with the trend of going with higher displacement and all.

this is true, the cl69 amg does exist but only very few were made, possibly not enough to be a true production car- made to order basically. i saw this very one you have pictured and it was not a rebadge, it had new brake discs, callipers, wider tyres etc. any chance you could put more pictures on here of the cl69.

ps i no lots about cars so argue back if you want!!!!!!!! and i worked at bmw and mercedes for a while.
the cl69 was made with some of the technology for the slr when merc were working with mclaren, i no a guy on the mclaren f1 team doing the electronics systems. he also helped out on the cl69.

It could be someone from the military having fun as well...there was an old Nike missile site in the US called CL-69.
I did read this little bit the other day...Mercedes has registered the S69 trademark, along with SL69 and CL69. That means we've got a whole range of flagships to look forward to?????

if you want to be ignorant of my point thats fine just thought i would let you no, but fine!!!!! the cl69 is limited edition as the parts are so expensive as the parts have to be made stronger using stronger metals. there are also plans for an sl69 and an s69- when they come out then i think you will realise i am right.

CLS55 AMG
guys.. AFAIK it is a "69"... it belongs to some really wealthy arab guy in london... apparently he dropped a lot of money to AMG to have this car. Although it is based around the CL63 (the V12 NA engine) it is retuned to around 480bhp.. the cabin is also bespoke, it is SOOO amazing ![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
its bespoke the same way the G65 AMG is bespoke... its not on any pricelist but you can order it , and AMG will make you one, but for a price
ive seen the car once around drury lane in London...
post more pics ..

I to have never heard of a 69, but also trying to think why they would pick such a name branding.
I mean it is very commonly known for what it stands for ^^.
WHAT can I say pimp my rid 69 lol threads are going to be flooding in at this rate X)
