SL 65 AMG and E63s AMG
Is 2008 Cl65 in the cards?
Has anyone heard if AMG is going to have an 2008 Cl 65? Also, those of you with Cl600s that have driven a Cl55/65 is the AMG suspension tuning significantly better?
My next car will be an 07+Cl but I just haven't decided whether to go AMG or not. I have an E55 and used to have an E500 and in that car there is no comparison, AMGs changes make it a much better car and I would never go back to a standard model.

I can't provide any input about suspension of the regular and AMG-models, but there is another aspect:
IMO, the AMG-version of the new CL looks MUCH BETTER than the standard...

I have no personal experience with CLs, but the AMG treatment of the S-class makes it a different car entirely. Power, handling and responsiveness are night and day. You could accomplish much of this with tuning, but not all. The tire/wheel setup comes with slight chassis modifications, which in turn are matched with ABC recalibration, and improves traction, which is enhanced with ESP recalibration. If you could duplicate all of this it would wind up costing more than the AMG increment.
Throw in better seats, better looks and of course the amazing engine and brakes and there's no question that these cars are worth it.
