Clean title/No Accident CL65 for $60k???

ok, so the miles are a little high. Looks to be in outstanding condition, for the miles though.. What a bargain...Just the parts, that make up this car are worth more than $60k. these 65's get much cheaper, and Im going to pick one up..

you can usually tell in a carfax or call into mb and find out...i am actually not sure if this car is or isn't though. i haven't checked thoroughly. i just know that a lot of the cars straightline sells are cars that were buy backs that they offer very cheap to others with the repairs completed.

If it was in a crash, they sure did a damn good job fixing it. Honestly, I think with the intro of the new CL65, it forced prices even lower, plus it does have a lot more miles than normal. And its in silver. It seems like the blacks are always more, lol. Why do they have the ABC jacked up all the way? looks funny like that.

Nothing wrong with car... $55,500 was the price paid..

Starlineautomotive paid $55,500 with auction fees for the car....the Blue one with 14k miles they are selling they bought for $70,600 with fees.... I would not get that 65 ... why? you cant get a warranty period..... car is over the 48k mile mark.... I would rather buy a cl55 OR wait until the 65's come down more... a realy nice BLACK ON BLACK just sold at auction... clean title and very clean car for $65k... with 29k miles...and believe it otr not nobody was bidding.. it ran 2 times... they would of sold it out right for $67k but no takers......it was on the OVE for buy it now $67K....these cars do crappy at the auctions now... a lot of dealers have gotten stung really bad.. the book says it is worth over $110k on KBB but on the street unless the miles are almost zero they arent even breaking into the mid seventies on real sales....truthfully as the owner of one... I will see these cars dropping another $25-35k in the next 12 months.......under the $80k they are asking at retail.... the problem is that you can get a nice 55 for $20k less which is putting these cars in this pricing category....nobody really sees that is was a $200k car ... they just see it as another model.......

there are many out there not selling...... trust me.....we may be the only people out these who love these cars...

I bought mine 2 months ago for 85K with 16K miles on it and have no regrets. The best car I have ever owned and I really love it. I can't believe the deals you can get on this car. Who would buy an E or CLS class when you can get the flagship CL for the same price? The ride is unbelievably comfortable and it handles very tight for a large car. I don't put that many miles per year on a car so I'm fairly certain I will keep this one until the warranty runs out in 2010. I know this sounds crazy but the new C63 has been tempting me although I couldn't see trading in a CL65 for a C63 (but you never know).

4 yrs. 48k miles is the cutoff for ext. warranty

anything over that and you will pay a fortune......trust me.... just hold until a better deal comes around

MB's and used cars take depreciation hits typically 18-24 months after release, and then when it falls out of warranty.

This is increased exponentially because the CL is MB's worst depreciator.

Retardedmunk is right, the car is definitely for the true aficionado. If you want a car because you appreciate the beauty of it, going the bargain route isn't a good idea...

Just don't look up the resale value after you buy the car unless you like that kind of torture.

Its almost kinda sad, I think this is one of the best cars ever made, and yet there are so many people that don't care. That's probably why you don't see them on ebay as much all of a sudden - The dealers/owners know they won't get anything for them. Whats amazing though, is how much they didn't sell. There are still dealers trying to get rid of new 215s that still haven't sold, and now they are forced to take like 50-70k off because of course would you buy the old when for almost the same price you can have new? Even the w221 65s are starting to drop. Nobody appreciates this engine...

It's true. Even the 05s looks and drive soooo good. I came so close to buying an 05 65 is hurts me today to think about it. The lease returns are the best deals especially if it is a CPO with the warranty.

The pain is somewhat eased when I get into my new 06 cls 55.

It's actually straightline automotive, not starline as was mentioned. I've seen that car and it looks very nice (you should see the building it's in; it's like walking into heaven). You can certainly get an aftermarket warranty, but expect to spend 5 or 6 grand. The car has been inspected by a 3rd party and apparently only has minor issues: needs tires, brakes, a couple electrical issues, etc. It's a bargain any way you look at it. If you can get it for 60 and put 6 into it to have a warranty for 48K miles, then it's still a very good deal and it's got a warranty for another 3 or 4 years.
