2003 cl600 for $36,500-good/bad?
car is a 2003 cl600 with 45kmi, loaded w/ all options-amg sport, parktronic, keyless, etc. aution price on the 03 cl600 is on the average of $32k w/ an avg of 50kmi, but who knows what kind of condition all those were in and options. car looks good(cant tell of an accident). carfax clean and also checked the vin with my benz dealer-also good. has no warranty, but fletcher jones merc here in las vegas said they woul sell me an 3/36 aftermarket warr. for $3,500. what do you guys think? good/bad? anything else i should check/be weary of? is this going to be a noticable diff from my 02 cl55?

On the aftermaket warranties. Buyer beware. The one I had went BK and was out some big $$.
If you can get bumper to bumper with $ 0.00 deductable its the best way to go.
If it is less, make sure it covers all electronics and at least power train.
If it comes from FJ is should be good, but also compare it with http://chryslerservicecontracts.com/. Good things have been said about these guys on this board. Stay away from the little guys with cheap prices.

I'd go for it. It seems as though you've done most of the due diligence work to check it out. You would've spotted something by now if something was fishy.
I agree with berman on the bumper to bumper. Its the best way to go. EVERYTING will be covered except for hoses, gaskets etc.
Note: Check to see if the ABC systems has been replaced if you can(hoses, valve block etc). I took my car in right before I went out of town when I heard something burst underneath and it was one of the ABC hoses that went out(front passenger). Not covered by warranty(at least autowarrantybroker one that I have) and is a 600+ bucks repair
Now to answer your question of will you feel the difference between your 02 55 and this 600, if you're talking about performance then.....
YES

called these guys today, they will not warranty it due to the fact that it is over 4yr or 50,000mi. going to fj merc tommorow and get more info on the warranty and test drive a used cl600. have driven a maybach 62 on several occasions and it lights up the tires with little effort. i cant image how fast a lighter cL w/ ecu mod would excellerate. i think my 02 stock cl55 with 390tq is fast, 700tq. must be outta control!!

test drove the car 2nite, what a rocket! i couldn't believe the put you back in your seat thrust feel when i hit the gas from a stop. with the traction button off, it lit up the tires no prob and hit 60 like it was nothing. (CANT IMAGINE WITH ANOTHER 100TQ) the car was clean inside/out with only very minor imperfections(really had to look). the car could use new brakes/tires soon though, and i'm working out a price break for those items needing attention.
double & triple checking on the extended warr. and asking as many questions as i can-john
