Did you ever consider asking instead of commanding?
A "please" might help ... but it might not.

i think you are looking at approx $1400 to $1500 range for a CLS63 with min drive off. with min down. if you are leasing, no need to put a large down. i purchase mine, so dont quote me on the above payment.

These low lease estimates are unrealistic...

I am with Deniska. The advertised Fleetrates are deceiving and involve a large up-front cash participation by the potential lessee, which is opposite of what you want to do when leasing. If you take the example of a 2008 CL 63 MSRP of $149,300 and a Cap Cost $143,000 (an assumed negotiated price if you are very tough with your dealer), your monthly lease payments might be around $3,246 for 24 months and $2,744 for 36 months, given MB Financial rates/residuals as of Dec. 07 (see below courtesy of Lease Compare, a sponsor of our Forum). Residuals are 58% for 24 months and 48% for 36 months. Money factor is .00390 for 24 and .00355 for 36. To that monthly lease estimate, you need to add sales tax & registration, pro-rated for your term of use. You will also have to pay up-front an acquisition fee of $1095 and a Disposal fee of $595. Both the CL63 and S63 are 'incentivized' by MB Financial via higher than expected residuals, so consider yourself lucky to have these higher residual values. For example, a similarly priced '08 CL600 has residuals of only 52% for 24 months and 45% for 36 months. Regardless, leasing a new '08 CL63 is still an expensive proposition. But don't take our word for it, just go to your nearest MB and try to negotiate a lease on a CL63 - you will find out soon enough. Z356

2008 Mercedes CL63 AMG Coupe
24 Month – Residual 58% of MSRP – .00390 Base Rate
36 Month – Residual 48% of MSRP – .00355 Base Rate
48 Month – Residual 42% of MSRP – .00355 Base Rate
60 Month – Residual 36% of MSRP – .00355 Base Rate

2008 Mercedes CL600 Coupe
24 Month – Residual 52% of MSRP – .00390 Base Rate
36 Month – Residual 45% of MSRP – .00355 Base Rate
48 Month – Residual 39% of MSRP – .00355 Base Rate
60 Month – Residual 33% of MSRP – .00355 Base Rate

You need to clarify that "minimum down". I'd imagine a fully loaded CL63 would lease for 2600+ depending on the lease term...

Can you please let me know where you can get $2163/mo for the CL63? I'd love to get one at that price instead of a S550 that I'm considering.

You are dealing with car salesmen. Since they got your attention do you really think they will sell you what they first quoted?

Wait unitl they run your credit. Sorry #1, I made a mistake. Sorry #2, they only have this model available. Sorry #n....

As the saying goes, if you have to ask the cost of the montly payment, you're not in this league. That's why there are not a lot of drivers driving new CLs. To qualify, a begining starting salary of about $175k. And that does not leave alot for xtra stuff, wife, kids, girlfriend, etcs. More like $200K at a min.

Interesting fact.....ave adj gross income for zip code 90210 (Beverly Hills) is $430k (2004).

Does average incomes really matter due to it being skewed by the extremes? I live in the highest average income zip code in the USA New York, NY 10004 and the average income is $1,192,091 but there are a lot of non rich people here too.

OP: Here is a CL63 on ebay

MSRP:

It's a great deal. Thats a bit less than what I pay per month for my SL.

Avg (or median) income...or any income stats tend to be rather meaningless....most truly affluent have as much/as little income as they choose to legally report in a given yr, as they seek to maximize tax efficiency....e.g., business owners, hedge fund and private equity partners, etc etc...

Manhattan is unusual, as is London, in that many investment bankers/traders at inv banks have hefty W-2 cash pay every yr...that said, $1MM/yr at an inv bank is typically earned by a rather mediocre <30yo VP-level banker/trader....and doubt a $1MM/yr guy (some $500K post-tax) can afford even a fixer-upper family apt on Fifth/Park in 60s-80s....$1MM/yr Wall Street guys typically either live in a rathole somewhere in less pricey parts of Manhattan or commute via train from Scarsdale....

Car lease pmts are also amusing to calc in unusual places like Manhattan, where many guys pay roughly $1K/mo to garage their car at/near their apt bldg and another $1K/mo to garage car at office (lots of clever traders commute intra-Manhattan via own car (IMO, most civilized&safest way to commute around Manhattan, short of having own S550 and driver follow one around town)....office garages are $1Kish/mo in Midtown and ?$500/mo nr Goldman's downtown offices)....
