Will 19x9's in front and 19x10's in back fit my CL55?

Yes, the Renntech offsets are ET 39 in front with ET52 in back with 19x9's in front and 19x10's in back. You will need to keep the stock tire height the same or lower.

The Renntech promo CL55 had 255/25 on front with 295/30 in back on 19x9/19x10. However, that works out to roughly a 26" tire (the stock 275 on 18" comes in at around 26.7").

The Renntech offset effectively pushes the fronts outward for suspension clearance, and pulls the back in for fender clearance.

I'm guessing you have the AMG 18x9 in back (has an ET44). For reference, you can bolt this on the front and see that the inside is tight to the suspension but there is fender room that can be used if the rim was further out (lower ET number). I don't recommend driving the car like that though. Might work, I just haven't driven it that way.

I have ET 36 in front, and I believe I can go as high as a 26" tall 275 in front. But I wouldn't advise others to try it.

You can google "Renntech wheels.pdf" and find sites that have Renntech's pdf file posted that shows the offsets by rim and car model.

You can even go wider in the back if you really want to. I would say 10.5 is about the limit though without doing some bigger changes. I have 20x10.5 with 305/25s for the rear tires on a 2004 CL55, car is mechanically lowered an inch. Fronts I believe are 20x9. At high speed when the car lowers itself further, I do get very sporadic rubbing (every 10 - 20 miles) from the rear tires. Raising the car with the dash button eliminates the rubbing completely.

I tried 305's on my CL and it was obvious to me that it was an accident waiting to happen. The 305's are just too wide for the fenderwell. It will either hit the hydraulic shock or it will destroy your fenders. Based on experience, 295's are the widest I could safely put on the 215 CL with no rubbing issues.

Wow... I don't know how you fit 20X10.5 in the rear on 305/25s and have it lowered an inch? I have Lorinser RS6s 20X9 (255/35/20) and 20X10 (285/30/20) , not lowered, and it already rubs on the freeways at certain dips. Just barely, but enough to make me cringe every time it happens. I would not feel comfortable going any bigger, and might try the 25 in the back instead of 30, but I already had to fix a rear rim once, so 25s would not help the ever increasing pothole situation where I drive. But, going back to rgmonkey's original post, I don't think you should have any problem with the 19s.

I decided on getting 20x8.5 with 255/35's and 20x9.5 285/30 in the back. I had a little trepidation in getting anything bigger because of the rubbing but I will post a pic once I get these wheels and tire on the car!

Yup, the wheels are Brabus Monoblock VI, shown up in the header to the MBWORLD Discussion Forums page (4th little picture up at the top). I am totally happy with them, and totally happy with the 305s. I have about 10k miles on the 305s so far.

Final Decision!

Here is my final wheels. I decided to go with 19's to avoid rubbing. It still looks sporty enough and has a good amount of sidewall showing. Let me know what you all think!
