I very much like all the pics posted of UBERBALLER rims w color coded lips, but I am definately NOT feeling the white CL at top.....

I think I recall a post of yours where you were trying to prove exactly that. That cars like the ones you have posted in these pictures are the new wave of tuning and that these styles were the "in" thing right now? So what are you really talking about? This is exactly what the tuner community is "force feeding" you right now. I guess you bought it.

There was no law stating that lips of wheels have to be chrome or silver.
My car will be de chromed and de silvered (black white theme) I have two options,white or black lips.
You guys gotta learn to let go of what builders and tuners force feed you.

whats so brave about changing the rims?
Basically 30 minutes, a jack, and a socket, I can have my wheels back to stock.
I like color coded lips. Whats "forced" is when society insists that a lip need to be chrome.
Anyways, Ive already decided to move forward. Just wanted to get a sense of where the forum is in terms of mods that arent "globally" accepted on here such as window tint, or Brabus wheels.
On another note...Anyone have an objective opinion on the agressive fender treatment? It was developed as a more OEM look for the CL over the Lorinser. Certainly it wouldnt fit all CL's but for those that are looking to complete a more agressive stance for their CL what do you think?

well i used to own an M3 for instance and....
on the board over there everyone discusses mods a bit differently. The culture there is more about
"what we can do to improve our cars", here its more about kissing MB ****. Singing blind praise to Hanz and Franz.
I can understand the 550 buyers leasing and driving as is but I would think the AMG crowd would be just as enthusiastic as the M crowd. Thaat was all I meant by conservitive...not in terms of lifestyle. It wasnt a putdown, just an observation.
Damn...Rush Limbaugh and Al Sharpton...thats quite a combo. I dont joke about Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity though, I think they are about the two most distructive and devisive men in America right about now. Take a listen to Hannity's pastors words for irony...his name is Reverend Patterson. Sean Hannity sits on the board of rev Pattersons company called BOND. He is all over youtube. Oh, and by the way he's black! This is a preacher who said the blacks in New Orleans turned the sanctuary of the Superdome into a ghetto within 48 hours. If they werent so lazy they would have left with the intelligent white people of the city. That is was their own fault!

you know what, not only brakedust...
mesh type wheels are the worst to clean. I DREAD washing my car and having to deal with white wheels, especially the inner barrel. I have to find a detailer....I'm not doing these myself, the five spokers were bad enough.

+1. I have seem these kind of wheel style on high end cars in real live and it looks high end, tough, and special. I say go for it. I don't think you are putting the conservative people in this forum down..that's just the fact...most of them just buys the car and drive as it...no change or mod to it at all...how boring is that, but everyone have their own taste. I will probably get blasted from the conservatives for this...but I'm just stating the fact.
