Finally... the Evotech CL65 vs the stock C6 Z06 race!!!
Have been extremely busy with the work for the last few months. Finally had a chance to run the Evotech ECU/TCU tuned (540whp) CL65 against stock C6 Z06 (surprisingly high @471whp). As the video shows, it's all about power to weight ratio. CL65 (4500lbs/540whp=8.33 lbs per whp) vs C6 Z06 (3140/471whp=6.66 lbs per whp). There were no passengers and the weather was about 70 deg. The C6 Z06 is no joke and is simply amazing in speed....
1st Race.. 30-160mph both cars in 1st gear: As you can see from the video the Z06 had a slight head start. The CL65, then again was fighting for the traction. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fuV6KGwuqOg
2nd Race.. 40-150mph both cars in 2nd gear: The CL65 struggled a bit but had a better traction than the 1st race.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EvvKD-L_9SI
And tonight we lined up the Evosport tuned M6 against the same C6 Z06 and the result was.... well the C6 Z06 walked the M6 prettly bad... No videos due to both cars needed to be shift manually. Perhaps we should have a camera man in the passenger seat in the next race. Is there any volunteer

You're dead on about power and weight. You've got more than 1/2 ton handicap.
You might be surprised with your weight if you put the car on a scale.
My CL was 4,650 with driver and maybe 3/8's of a tank.

Sup Greg!! Thats a pretty good race, but I am still not convinced about the power your CL is putting down. Did you verify if all torque was unleashed in the TCU, I know you were missing tome TQ last time?. Did you also check intercooler pump on your CL?, that will rob you major power. Other wise that Z06 is a monster, lol!

Hey Jody, a long time no talk... Congratulation on your CL65 purchase and welcome to the 65 club !!! Yeah, I was concerned about the torque # so I did redyno the CL and it pulled 556whp and 705wtq. It may not have the highest # among the ECU/TCU modded 65s, but the torque is there. I'm assuming the IC pump is working fine since the car made the # above. Good luck with the car and have a blast ride!!!

Good video; however, this CL65 is not running as it should. With an Renntech ECU tune and airbox only, my CL simply walks C6 Z06s from a roll or dead stop (I have had many experiences). Fighting for traction, I have run 11.1 in the Florida heat. I would have that car looked at. Something is wrong with it.

Funny! Steve, you were the one I was thinking about in my previous post. I know your car will take any stock Z06 and keep up with most modified ones. This is what I was trying to tell G-force. I'm positive his ECU is not tuned well. I would like to see him go against a stock CL65. His car is beautiful in white. I hope he gets it re-tuned and puts a heat exchanger on it.
On a side note, the car looks great in white.

Just want to let everyone know, I am not bashing the Z06 (I have a deposit on a ZR1), however, it should not walk a tuned CL65 without a big shot of spray.
