Sorry, all of the above.

If you believe Renntech and Vadim, hp >575, torque >500. Power is totally linear.

BTW You know how disgusting and degrading air travel has become so I was totally humbled and put in my place by checking out fractional jet ownership and private jet travel. I thought that I could hang with the best of them but Boston to LA $63000, and east coast to Nice $138000. I guess that I’m just a poser.

Is renntech that great? I heard many bad stuff about them.

Actually had a friend few years back had c55 and did almost all renntech and he said no difference in power same ****. He did headers ecu carbon airbox a whole bunch of stuff.

No clue. I dont tune cars up haha. I like factory.

Actually, my MB dealer made the deal and sent the ecu to Renntech for remapping. It took a total of 3 days and my dealer warantees and fully supports the mod. So my purchase was from the MB dealer. I talked at length to Renntech before going ahead so I was comfortable. The installation took a very short time, no warning lights or drama.

Power surge very strong starting at 3000 rpm. Upshifts and downshifts even in manual mode are smoother than before. Very impressive.

Looks great, ieb....do you have cf interior as well?

Indeed, pvt plane addiction is far more costly than any new car addiction...

Just as no. of new CL63 030/CL65/S65 seen in wkday commute traffic often defines economic power/sophistication of a region, would argue no. of G550/7X-caliber birds sitting on tarmac at relevant pvt airfields is similarly revealing....

But the far more amusing (and not uncommon) sight, esp on SF Peninsula or at SantaMonica, is some environmentalist plutocrat driving his Prius to airfield and boarding a G550 (or larger bird) to head to one of his wkend houses....

I just paid $2,200 for DFW to NCE ... sure hope I get an upgrade! I'll 'fess up to the freebie and not say that I paid $8,700 for business class.

Oop's, back to 216 talk.

Interior just plain old walnut. I like it and feels very comfortable kind of like the 560 SEC.

WSH - I'd consider another 030 if I were you. I have compared the 63 & 65 side by side and the only thing about the 63 that I felt lacking was a bit more power and the chip mod took care of that. 63's got the style and panache. Don't let those 65 (engine or age?) bullies push you that way.

I always fly American because I have so many miles that I can always upgrade. They now charge upgrade fees of up to $300 over the coach. The only remedy to to hang out in the lounge and get drunk as quickly as possible.

One of my favorite California phenomenons.

And WSH, I'm curious why you feel that only AMG MBs signal the wealth of a region. You yourself seem quite aware that many folks opt for the base models for non financial reasons, so why do you consider that the case? If I ever get any AMG, it will be debadged (or better yet rebadged to the base model) before anyone sees me driving it.

Just to clarify, I have installed the VPR high flow air filters, not the exhaust manifolds.

Don't forget to remove the brakes. Even with the logos painted out, these are pretty obvious:

Quad exhausts also need to be disguised to complete the reverse-snob-appeal makeover.

cf complete package price I think is around $3500. This includes bottom half of rear view mirrors and four small inserts that gp around the lower front,

My dealer has an extra cf rear diffuser due to a delay in customs the factory sent a second piece. Anyone interested can pm me for contact information.
