Hi Tom, sorry to pick you out but I know you have a CL65.
I have been driving mine nearly everyday since the cats were done, I
think it's an amazing car, however driving so much has highlighted a
a problem which may be normal.
My brake pedal feels a little soft and seems to travel a bit before biting,
which can make you feel a little wary when driving quickly. Don't get me
wrong the brakes do stop me, but my SL,and 600 have much more instant
bite. I had the brake fluid change when I first got it, so it may not be that.
Is your car similar? Clarkson said the SLR brakes were soggy but I think
there ceramic. Perhaps the pads are harder in the 65. If yours are the same
then I will live with it, however if there not I will investigate.
Any other comments from other 65 owners appreciated.
Bonzo.

My brakes are the same way. You have to go past a certain point for them to really bite the way I would like them. I replaced the front pads at the dealership about 11K miles ago. The rear pads are ready to be replaced now. The car laetely seems to get a bit unsettled with high speed braking but that may be due to the need for an alignment due to my rear struts/ABC sensors are shot. The dealership will be replacing these soon.

Hi Tom, its a great relief to know yours are the same, my cars only done 15k
so there can't be anything need changing. I do find when I am braking hard
if you come off then straight back on the pedal it has more feel.
