These pictures are incredible. Very nicely done!

I'm an amateur with photography, so forgive me, but what settings did you use for these shots? Can one get comparable results without an SLR?

I would love to try for some beauty shots of my cars, but they never come out right. I even borrowed a pretty decent Nikon SLR from my buddy, but the results were nothing like this. I am tech savvy, but clueless with photography.

I'm only am amateur as well, but in my unprofessional opinion, I see a whole lot of HDR going on with those pictures. Do a Google search for HDR and it is the top hit.

HDRI processed with taste in mind. I avoid over-tone-mapping like the plague.
