Talking '08 Barolo Red RENNtech CL65 AMG V12 Biturbo - Photoshoot - 22 images

Had the privilege to shoot this one-off Barolo Red CL65 AMG back in October.

RENNtech Package II, color-matched 22" GFG Lagunas, replaced all stock speakers with Alpines and two 10" Kicker Competition subwoofers in the trunk covered by a genuine Mercedes grill. Everything else is optioned out.

Hope you dig the photos.

With all those crazy angles and distortion it's kinda hard to tell what the car really looks like.

Only a handful are minimally distorted via the 10mm lens I used. The rest were photographed with a variety of other lenses that don't distort the image at all, so there should be a good assortment of images that show the car with no distortion.

I think the pics and the car look great (wheels aren't my taste). The car looks to be from Virginia. I would love to see it in person.

What's w/the 22" WAGON WHEELS it's a 65 AMG w/RENN tuning why in hell would they put huge goofy 22" wheels on her? All they do is rob perf retarding the gear ratio/ride quailty etc...

20" are big enough, it looks like minature Caddy Escalade & prolly drives like one too....Minus the umph factor

Hahaha, thank you! Yeah, the car looks just astonishing in person, especially lit up like that for the shoot. When it's overcast, it looks really dull, as one could imagine, but under lights? Epic.

It was an intentional design choice not to remove it. It added a nice simple detail to the ceiling, and gave a slight context to the image.

Well again, the problem with opinions is everybody's got a different one. In person, I think the wheels really make the car pop. Don't get me wrong, it would probably look twice as amazing with powdercoated wheels, but I'm just the photographer, so I've got no say on the matter.

Yeah, I'll definitely mention it to him. And I fully agree with the CL65 bit, but I could take it a step further and say that all variations of the new CL are just perfect. Even the CL550, which I actually did a shoot of with a jet- can check out on my website- looks just as good. Maybe not as powerful, but in a photo power means nothing.

The car currently resides in a different state, so it may be difficult to catch a glimpse of it.
