My trunk opens and stops about two feet short. Is there a way I can fix without taking it in??
Thanks in advance.

Is it the older style spring loaded, or newer hydraulic? There was a switch over about our model year. The spring loaded have multiple attachment points with the springs to adjust opening force. However, I prefer the lighter setup because on the higher settings there isn't anything to keep the trunk from opening too high, getting caught in the wind, and buckling over. I see more older S/CL with trunk problems than without trunk problems, probably the reason for the design change in the later years.
You can jam a bunch of quarters/washers in the springs to get their compression length to be bigger or get a spring puller so that you can change them to the other attachment locations. Disclaimer, be sure to protect your paint with this operation.
