Some new engine out pics our 12cyl! They're asking for tons of money too! I'm going to call them and ask for tons of detailed pics. It's a little easier than pulling my motor. I'll be sure to put them here for your viewing pleasure.

This is how much the last few S600's went for at the auction. It's cheaper to buy the whole car.

You can get these 600TT's for super cheap at auction. Most have had a ton of bodywork though. Or interior is filthy or mechanical problems. There's always a lot fo smart guys looking through these auctions, and any car that's REALLY in good shape sells for what it's really worth. There are some insane deals to be had at the auctions though!

65's
all the 65's will be collector cars in the near future.....mostly the low mileage optioned out ones....but the higher mile cars will still follow .... A 100k 1970 hemi challenger is still worth 80% of a low mile one.....orginality is key.... By the end of the year there may be less then 160 Cl65's left ... Some were stolen .. Wrecked or raced and abused and not worth owning ...a lot of these cars are heavy repaired from accidents.......it is still a 600hp car....and very very few clean ones anymore
Super low production and an extreme amount of power in a civil car
Despite that they can have problems ..... All cars have issues ... But atleast with these cars it is worth it
If more people knew what these cars were ... There wouldn't be any for sale....

W220 S65 AMG
I've posted these pictures in the W220 forum before and in my profile gallery, but here they are again...
Same physical assembly for both the 5.5L and the 6.0L AMG engine, just different plastic engine covers...

I respectfully disagree. It will be a long time before a low mileage 65 will be a collector car. You can not compare the collectibility of the 60-70's American muscle cars to the 65 model line. The American muscle cars were halo cars to American youth...who were either too young or did not have enough cash to afford the top of the line model. There was a broad appreciation for those cars. The 65's are relatively obscure to the American public. There are only a handful of people who would spend a premium for them in the future. It will take 20+ years to bring the values up.

You have some great pics of this engine. Seeing what the V12 looks like from the back, specifically the intercoolers, has helped me learn something new that I'm going to try!

I'm far too scared to say till it's successful. Hopefully when I see you guys this weekend, I will say. I can never keep a secret for too long. I think you'll be impressed.

I also respectfully disagree, you can buy a whole car for this, there is a CL600
on Autotrader with 60 k on the clock for £15995. And I expect there are others around as well, and of course nobody gets the asking price.
