Car drops on one side while driving

03 CL 55, while driving normally nothing out of the ordinary the car from the driver's side just DROPS like if there's a sudden dip in the road. It did this many times during my commute this morning. It rises back up slowly and displays no messages

What could it be?

Have the dealer look up the service records on the ABC system.

It is a very complex system. They may replace that side pump and then find out the filters are clogged. Are there any fluid leaks in your garage? The fluid maybe down. I could go on ad nauseum.

The system needs regular service such as a filter flush - there are many discussion here on the Forum.

For a quick driveable fix raise the car so both ABC lights are on. The responsibility is yours - just a tip.

Thank you for the reply. I will get the filter changed and get the system flushed just in case. How much would this cost from the stealership? Thanks!

About 2 years ago there was a recall on the sensors (Accelerometers) that tell the ABC system what the car is doing. One of the symptoms that is experienced when these sensors fail is what you have explained.

The problem went away for couple months so I ignored it didn't get anything done. Now it's doing the same thing... hmm

Can I replace the accelerometer sensors myself? Can this be a DIY? Where are they located?

Easy DIY if that is indeed the problem. 3 Sensors. One on each strut tower and one behind the rear seat.

Since this was a warranty recall however, you should be able to have your dealer check to see if your sensors are part of the effect group and is so, work will be done free.

Thanks

The car is at the dealer for alot of work and things that need to be fixed and I addressed them about this issue as well. I hope it will be a simple fix. Will update once I find out what is the cause, hope fully like others mentioned the accelerometers is the culprit..

Does anyone have the part numbers for the Accelerometers sensors? Or a picture of what they look like or where they are?
