Lowering links are cheapest: http://www.adjustableairride.com/index.php
Electronic modules are around $1500 or $2000.
I think there is third option -- adjusting it with "star" system.

DO NOT usd the star system for a CL. For some reason, the CLs do not take the programming. It works for some E's but not CLs. It will end up jacked up like a 4X4 about a week later. Strange and I don't know why, but it happens.
Best and cheapest are basically an oxymoron, so here are your options. All of these have been covered, so the search button and google are your best friend.
Probably the best way is a lowering module. This calibrates the computer with your suspension. The drawback is that they are usually a couple of grand and, with some of them, you lose the functionality of the raising/lowering on the fly with the button in the car.
Next is lowering links, which trick the computer into thinking that the car is higher than what it is, thus lowering it. Usually a couple of hundred bucks plus install, but you still have the functionality of the raise/lower button.
Finally, you can use washers that work using the same premise and results as the adjustable links. It tricks the computer/sensors. They are dirt cheap at home depot and you can do it yourself or have someone do it for you that knows how.

ARCHOE if you want ----- send me PM and I will send you a write-up how to make your own rear links and adjust the front ones.
Front can be adjusted with washers because you have to make them longer,
Rear links must be shorter that is why you have to make your own.
Very cheap and easy !!!!

We lower allot of cars, and on Mercs we use links and then dial the height in with the STAR system.
