Lowered the CL55 some more... well slammed by acciedent.

While still debating of deleting the 2ndry cats, I bought some links and lowered the car some more after seeing what Sonic MS did to the SL. I got inspired to go lower. Now, my highest setting on the ABC was my lowest setting before. When the ABC is down, it is slammed... not drivable, only for parking low status.
How do I do the correct adjustments on the links, is it just a trail and error measurement? I want my current highest setting to my my lowest setting.

The highest setting on the ABC. I want to adjust it so the this is my lowest setting, any advice...

For the front shorten the Link about 4 turns and in the rear lengthen the Link the same. Should be just fine after that.

You install it wrong.. turn off the height setting button so no light is on. then adjust the link to your desire height..

remember: Front longer to go lower and Rear is shorter is Lower..

I NEED TO GO LOWER BUT IT WONT' DROP ANY MORE... ITS ON BUMPSTOP..I THINK..

Guys... both the CL55 AMG and the S55 AMG in this thread are badass... great choice of wheels, very unique and at the same time that ****s slappin' cause it's the B B B Brabus.

Once piece of advice, don't ride on the "bumpstop" as you will damage your ABC struts and they are around $1500/ea to replace.

THose BRabus monoblock sit pretty flush with your car.. did you use spacer.. ? +35mm offset right? suck that they dont' make stagger settup.

your tires looks FAT... 275" is oversize for 9x width wheels.. dont' you think?

This is best wheel From Brabus...

Pretty Bumpy Ride though.. oh well, i like it low....and scrapping the ground.

i haven't heard anyone ride low and blow their ABC shock... IF mine blow, I'll report Back..

I said it.. and no I'm not thinking conventional shock/spring/strut. If you knew about the complexity of those ABC struts you'd think twice about riding them low like that all the time.

Viet AMG .........

Your car is SSSSSIIIIIIIIICCCCCCCCCCKKKKKKK

Thanks for the advice, I am going to need all the advice I can get, always wanting to learn new things.
When install the links, I had both lights on to the highest setting, now I am going to try to adjust it with the lights off. Can't wait to try it. I will update when I get to it, most likely next week.

Thanks man, your car is not that shabby as well.
I have been wanting this wheel ever since back in the day. When it first came out, and I could not drive yet. I promised myself one of these days I would own that will on a sick MB.

Yes, they are 35et all the way around. And they should have made a 20x10 rear, it would have looked so hot with a deep lip in the rear.
275'x30x20 its pretty meaty, looks alright. Maybe the way the I took the pic. It rubs when I am going pretty hard, but barely.

Car looks sick

but is it just a weekend car? Too low to be a DD I mean I would be worried SICK for my ABC to go out anytime... that's why I am never touching my system. Don't get me wrong I love slammed cars... this was my S500 with the airmatic links..

Thanks...

So, I am curious... what setting do you keep your ABC at? Do you have both lights on at all time or you have them off and have the car down all the time?

I will give me ideas on how about to take this small mod project.

I agree with Oxygen.
AMG cars normally have upgraded springs and dampers and make full use of larger, low-profile rubber.
The ABC suspension is equal among all MBZs that have it. By it's very nature there is no need to have different settings for an AMG car over a non-AMG car. Any modifications would be superfluous.
ABC offers the best of both worlds.

Yes your IQ is low. HOw? Jelouse? reasearch?

Am I jealous? Of what? A nice car turned into a low riding ****box? Nope.

Anybody who likes scraping the ground is obviously short a few marbles.

I read your previous posts, and it simply confirmed my suspicion.

Your car looks ridiculous that low. If theres one way to make a nice car look cheap, its slamming it to the ground and adding shiny wheels. Lets see: Check and check.

Hey fellas,

No need to argue... everyone has their opinions and to each their own. We are all here to learn and help each other out. If we criticize each other on how we mod our cars and keep to one ideal look then this forum would be boring and we would not learn from each other.

I didnt even have links installed on my car and I was driving on the Oklahoma Hwy and the roads are so bumper I busted my ABC unit, the fluids started leaking. Costed me 11k to fix it at the dealership.
