my 2005 cl65 1/4 mi: 11.5@121

4 runs total tonight. 39 deg, 900 ft da(record for vegas)

60 ft 1/4 mph
1. 1.80 11.54 121.0- good launch; off idle
2. 1.77 11.52 121.2- good luanch; 1500rpm?
3. 1.79 11.55 121.1- good launch; 1500rpm?
4. 1.99 12.10 120.3- spun really bad in 1st and 2nd

Q: how the hell do i get a 1.69 60ft out of this car?

car may have an ecu tune as it has hit 170mph, will dyno in the coming weeks. full weight, traction off, 1/2 tank(91/100 mix),
mickey thompson 245/40/18(21psi)

this car is amazing. the car went down the track so smooth and quiet i thought i was going to get a mid 12 slip, what a shock 3 11.5's! i was just hoping to get in the 11's. will try to post the vids. depending on what the rwhp/rwtq is, i plan on doing- 3 1/2" turbo back exhaust with 200 cell cats, ic pump, bcm filters for now. the vrp825 kit is very tempting as i would love to see a 10.9

Your worst nightmare...
Very good runs!! Car is a monster but something is puzzling me..your trap speed is very consistant with a stock car..seems to be trapping 120-121 all day. I would expect a tuned 65 to trap at least in the 122-124 range. Weather was pretty chilly so it was not heat soaking. When I referred to running in dyno mode I said it because the car has a certain feel to it "posessed" is the term I am looking for. LOL. Seems to run ***** out on dyno mode and prevents any bog down with esp disabled. I would dyno it asap..and get numbers. If it has a tune it may be just a regular "smooth tune". A properly tuned 65 should be making north of 700rwtq and trap 122+ all day.

Sorry to come off like a dick just giving you some advice so next time you actually run low 11s or maybe even tens. I say it because I have done it. My 65 ran 11.5s all day at 120-121...stock, all it had was MTs and a tank reservoir, that was it! Nonetheless its a great accomplishment in a 4600 pound car. Priceless!!

I believe I saw your car in line at LVMS last night..........but didn't see you run. There were two E55's out as well. Congrats on the times either way and you're still .34 seconds faster than my Crossfire's best last night.

Very nice runs! I would say you are stock.. Busa196 ran in cold weather a 11.5 in his stock S-65 with drag radials.. He added a tune but no times yet that I know off..You are also a few hundred lbs lighter..

Brandon Davis told me about your run. Fantastic. I used to own an E55 Stage 5 Renntech. My best time at our retarded track was an 11.90. I caught all kinds of grief for such a slow time with everyone doubting I had a Stage 5 but people don't know that the DA in Vegas is horrible all of the time. The stars were aligned if you had a 900' DA. Good for you. Your car looks sick!

thanks. i wanted this car soooo bad in 2005, but didn't have $200K lying around track here in vegas is not a record setter by any means. dipping into the 11's in a stock c6 zo6 in vegas is equal to a stock c6 z on the east coast dipping into the 10's. but the guys in the 10's on the east will credit thier driving skills and not the "star alligning" perfect conditions. i guess were all just *****ty drivers in vegas.

i'll rant in pm.

Bad *** ET, man. That pic makes me miss my old car!! I went 120 mph with 550 rwhp bone stock, so I agree that yours probably isn't tuned.
