Anyone fitted 305 on the rear 9 1/2?

I drove the car 10K miles in the last 7 months and now my rears are slicks.
Not bad, I expected worse, I think I am showing some self constraint here!

275/35/19 is clearly not wide enough, how wide can I go on the 9 1/2" rear wheel without it looking funny or touching the fender?

I have some Michelin PS2's that I was going to put on my GT3, would 305/35/19 fit?

If they will fit, I doubt they would fit on those wheels. My 305s are on 10.5 inch rims and that is about the limit, 9.5 inch rear wheel I just don't think it would safely work all that well. I also think the 65 may not support as a wide a tire as a 305, due to its offset being 60mm while CL55 is 46mm. That is, the same wheels on a 55 could stick out on a 65. I was someday hoping to upgrade to a 65 and keep my wheels but I don't think they will work.

Any brand of 305 tire I know of requires a minimum of a 10.5" wide wheel. You could probably get it on the 9.5 wheel but it would wear out quickly in the middle, and perform very "weird" because the tread contact patch would be very distorted. Tire specs are NOT a minor issue......they are very important to your ride and handling.
