Forgot to upgrade this. I got a second opinion on this and this is what the dealer reported:
The struts are FINE and are not leaking but the passenger side top rubber boot is ripped but can be replaced. The pump did run dry for a bit but it holds pressure and is working FINE as tested. The steering rack formed a little crack on top (where it was pissing out fluid from) so I got a refurbished rack installed, flushed the steering fluid and all is well. All under $1000. Did the work myself due to warranty not co-operating.
