how do i cut a 1.6x 60ft in cl65?

my best 60fts are 1.77,1.78.1.79(11.5@121)
all runs on 245 mickey thompson dr's @20psi
mods are ecu. installing this week-k&n filters and 3-1/2in exhaust
my buddy says this thing should easily go 1.69. but how? he suggests running a full tank and leaving the tire/jack and tools in the trunk.
will practice stalling it up a bit on the line and messing with tire preasure(18psi) i have no problem hooking up at 20psi with a good burnout on the mt's. anything i'm doing wrong or not doing? will also run it in dyno mode which i did not due last time out

It's not a Z that's how :p jk but damn 1.77 is impressive considering the tranny and the fact they are d/r's maybe that's just me. Play with the psi as i'm sure you have to find the sweet spot, on my c5 z06 my mt et streets liked 14-15psi the best. I think 1.6 might need a full slick but maybe not hopefully others will chime in.

My Best 60 footer was a 1.62....the driver of my car at the 10.73 run way JayCL600 he cut a 1.5 60', he is an experienced driver and credit is given where it's due. The guy has more seat time on the CL platform then you and me combined and a few more of us all together. It takes a lot of practice and a LOT of torque to give the car a 1.5 60 footer.

Here are some of the things that might help:
-MT 265's 40-18 at 18PSI, the wall is flexible on helping put some more meat to the ground
-Excellent track prep,( whole 60 foot VHT'd)
-Lots of torque (torque limiters removed in TCU)
-brake boost to 1800 rpm then mash the gas like there is no tomorrow (I had problems with this since the car was putting so much torque I thought something would brake, apparently it is made of steel LOL)

Good Luck!

I use the MT 315/30/18's at 17 psi. I cut mid to low 1.6's without applying the brakes at all. It seems with my car that the converter flashes perfectly with the way the turbos spool up.
