2005 CL 65 AMG - TUNED
Eurocharged Tune - you gotta get one of these!
Hi Everyone,
I picked up my '05 CL 65 last August and posted some pics etc here. Since then I have been babying it a bit, full 40k service, all the 5 year work, full set of new plugs, transmission flush, all the fluids replaced etc etc and love it.
Also I've reading with great interest the various tuning options / co's out there - Kleenmann, Renntech etc but was really taken with Busa196 story and his final happy outcome by going with the good folks at EuroCharged.
So after a few emails with Jerry at Eurocharged I shipped him my ECU and a day or so later it's back and in the car - and I'm just 'gob smacked'
as they say in England, just blown away.
Right from the get go the car is instanly responsive, not harsh but 'right there and paying attention' to every right foot movement, and once you dip into the throttle its as if the car has lost hundreds of pounds!
I just got back in after a quick 25 minute ride and I'm grinning from ear to ear, finding myself giggling and my knees are shaking - to have such a large and heavy copue take off like a scolded cat is simply fantastic. Not to mention the 60 to 130 jump, its as if the other cars are just parked there.
For anyone with a 65 you owe it to yourself to get this ECU tune - I simply had no idea what my car was capable of - oh and once you put your foot down it just keeps on dishing out the power.Take you foot off and try to behave like a gentlemen and the car is composed as always 'nothing to see here officer'. Trouble is it's very hard to keep your foot off
LOL sorry for the raving - but Jerry and Eurocharged guys have it nailed and at great prices. I ordered the Stage 2 and will install the HE and CM30 when they get here. After that, dyno time just for grins, although my butt dyno says holly s*&t this thing is massively faster than stock and way more fun!!
Busa196 knows of what I speak - I just can't get the words out to tell you how awesome it is! Worth every penny in my book.
