If you have your owners manual package, look for a booklet called either Maintenance or Service Booklet. It will have all the required maintenance ops and service cycles which vary from model to model and year to year.
Don't have it stop by a dealer or call 1-800-FOR MERCedes. Either free or small fee. If you don't have an owners manual you can get one by the same process about $25 for most.

oil change filter change air filter inspect fluids belts hoses leaks fittings suspension parts and brake wear.
You can do it yourself or find an indie shop to do what you can't or won't do.
You need not go to the dealer and your pocket will love you if you don't
If the brake fluid and coolant and power steering fluid have not been changed since new in 05 they are due
if the spark plugs have not been changed they are due also at 5 years

service a and b are oil changes more or less.
the exact list of things to be done varies.
going into the service menu will tell you which items need to be performed.
make sure that after they are executed "work" is confirmed in the ecu.
