Now that is interesting. Why is it that so many people generally from the middle east keep identifying with non existent (for centuries) states. Why is it that Iranians say that they're Persian? Persia hasn't been around for a long time, :dunno:

I think I may have been unclear about the key point here, which is time. Your example is, shall we say, different. In any case, I'm not trying to be a dick, I'm just curious why that is. I'm euro but have family that is "persian" and I always find that funny.

well, being Assyrian you kinda are proud of the fact that you have a 100% blood line to the ancient Assyrian/Babylonian Empire that ruled the whole mid east up to eastern euro down to egypt. Oh the stories i can go on about what Assyrians did and what they invented lol! you hear it all the time from the older people....

your sitting there watering your lawn smoking, and an older assyrian fellow starts saying things like "did you know assyrians invented irrigation?" or wierd **** like "the number 0 was invented by my great great great great grandfather ashur something!" lol

That makes perfect sense. One should be proud of their ancestry. I wonder if people would laugh at me or think I'm weird behind my back if upon introduction I told them I'm Teuton and am from Jutland or something. On the other hand this maybe a good conversation topic.

A "friend of a friend" was speaking of putting AMG badging on his CLS a few years back and I advised "why would you advertise being faster than you really are?"...."What happens when you line up with someone?". He felt so 'tarded he wanted to trade in his CLS for an AMG CLS when I told him that doesn't matter as long as he's "real".

It's the Poser syndrome.
I wouldn't tell a lady I have a 10" pecker if I only have a 6.5" pecker.
But some scums will do what it takes to get any play they can grab at before others figure it out.

If a woman can't feel the difference in pull between a standard benz and an AMG, she's a bimbo anyway.

Like Neanderthals swinging ****** instead of their own peckers. Let the dumb girls fall for it, and consider it a free weeding out service for real men.

I saw C300 AMGs when I was in Miami.

It's funny though, some cars with the AMG package are equipped with AMG badges.

I have never seen that unless it was the dealer or owner who did it after it left the factory.

That CLS badging is classic!
I wonder if he kept just the "500" on so the dealer knows what he has?
He even changed the side badging to an engine I don't even believe it's available with (unless I'm not up to today's time on any recent changes).

That's like having an '80 V6 firebird and painting "6.6 Liter" on the fender (since they didn't even come with the shaker hood scoop).

So Armenians have 'history' but has it been answered why they make false representations? I like the below explanation about their 'history'. I thought Greeks invented everything?

And the Egyptians designed the pyramids without numbers and the Jews built them without drinking water too?

I'm just thankful to be type of guy that dropped a 400ci V8 in his '80 Firebird.

Is that the same 6.3l 500++hp natural aspired V8 they're using in the CLK Black now? I wonder what made them lean in that direction vs. the 'compressor' V8 used in the old CL55's. I loved the sound of that blowoff valve 'psssst....pssst". Must be the old adage of dependability.

Well, what i like to think is is maybe AMG was tired of just grabbing Merc motors and strapping superchargers on them, so the 6.3 motor which is actually a 6.2 liter, was completely designed by AMG themselves, and they dropped it in the SL, S, CL, CLK, E, C

I chose the e63 over the e55 because it was "all motor" and didn't have as much moving parts to break on me, and the warranty was better.

Armenians, Assyrians, Persians, and so on.....

let me ask you guys this one question? doesn't it suck having to make sure that the girls you wanna talk to aren't related to you? lol

I'd rather drive a real Hyundai than a faked anything else. With the right parts only true enthusiasts would be able to tell. The problem is I would know..

+1

The difference is that you have a conscience, personal pride and a sense of value in honesty. These badge ****** do not.
