Thanks a lot ree! Man this car is awesome, hopefully purchase one by the end of the year, and I can not decide on colors! All look fabulous. I like the car to be calming on the inside and relaxing (color-wise) yet I do not want to just beige it out like I would... decisions decisions lol

I guess that would be true. A general CL65 driver would not really be like me, but I am not a typical one, I am 22 and kinda spoiled
Everyone suggest the SL or E class for me, but like, I already have an E. I mean I adore it but I would not want to trade it in for another E. Regarding the SL though, I have always been a fan but never really was convinced. Driving the current CL63 is sweet, real sweet, so I can only imagine how great the new one would be!
The E500 was a birthday gift last year

Spoke to the dealer earlier today, they will begin receiving the cars by the end of September (Gulf Specifications). He did say though, there is going to be one unit of the car coming "now" but he didn't know if it belongs to someone or just a showcase.

I'm thinking of going black on black with the 2011 cl 63 ... classic color scheme which should age quite nicely.... it's not every day you drop this kinda dolla on a ride

btw, here is a link, where an Armagnac Interior is shown in exact the same leather/wood combination:

That looks gorgeous.
Searched around and found the color on a 2011 CL600 (http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2011-.../full/#3140978)

Right forget about these. Nevertheless I think, that the wood at that 600 is way to bright for a combination with the Armagnac leather.

No power increase for CL65 after all, will have the same spec as before.
CL63 has the engine lighter then CL65 by almost 200lbs which should do wonders for power to weight ratio and overall handling and agility.
CL63 with Designo makes the CL65 virtually obsolete....

And there are many more reasons to go for a 63 AMG. New MCT 7-speed gearbox (65 AMG still has 5-speed automatic), 571 hp and 900 Nm (with perfomance package) and the car is much lighter as well. So the 65 AMG doesn't over so many more advantages over the smaller V8, in my opinion.

IMO, ~$175K '11 CL63 030 is obsolete and inefficient
Real battle is between '11 CL65 and SLS as both are enjoyable as daily commuter cars in places like SF Peninsula/LA's Westside
SLS issues will be ground clearance, torque on fast urban fwys and reliability/smoothness of DCT box
'11 CL63 030 is perhaps a buggy/lemony nightmare w/DFI motor, dubious reliability/smoothness MCT box, inadequate tq for 65 addicts, and a likely plastic interior (and ironically $0 down, 2yr lease terms on a $215K SLS will likely be cheaper than those on a $175K CL63)
Latest/greatest AMG CLs are used as daily straight-line commuter missles by 99% of repeat buyers, so 200lb wt deltas are meaningless, even in CA where numerous mtn twisties are available adjacent to Woodside or Brentwood (where a few AMG CLs are exercised on wkend AMs)

What's the basis for that statement?
Because it has faster and less power consuming transmission, significantly better economy (less fuel stops for those not caring about fuel prices),better handling because of much lower weight over the front wheels?
Get the perf. pckge and torque jumps to 660lbs ,nothing to scoff at.
Your statement about CL65 competing against SLS is not valid either, since there are very, very few people who would cross shop that empty nester daily driver against a real supercar (with all it's disadvantages for daily use) that the SLS truly is.

Get white with red interior if that is available. I saw a picture of it on the SLS and it looks simply amazing.

Daily Driver???
Hmmmmmmm.?????
CL63 as daily driver seems like blissful way to beat daily stress...
I think the 2011 CL63 is the proper prescription for overworked guys and I do mean guys - definitely not a chic car

You may be surprised...I see as many or more women driving CL's in Beverly Hills as I do men. It's a sophisticated cruising car for men or women, much like a Bentley Continental GT.
