Newbe Peformance Question CL63

Looking to order the 2011 CL63, and my first of many questions in this journey is: Should I order the Peformance Package with the car, or just wait and use a tuner such as Kleeman or whoever's out there to get the best Bang-for-the-Buck? Looking for the Pro's and Con's, if any, to this decision.

Thank you in Advance

Noland

So I checked out the mods to your CL600 and did a little bit of research on the weight of these cars. I'm sure these numbers are not 100%, but this is what I got off of the MBUSA site, for the most part.

2010 S63 - 4741lbs - 518hp/465tq
2010 S65 - 5061lbs - 604hp/738tq
2010 CL600 4895lbs - 510hp/612tq
2010 CL63 - 4599lbs - 518hp/465tq
2010 CL65 - 4940lbs - 604hp/465tq

2011 CL63 - Unkn lbs - 544hp/590tq
Performance Package - 571hp/664tq

Those numbers don't indicate that the CL is that much heavier than any of the others and from what I can tell, YOUR CL600 is a BEAST!....... I would think that the Performance Package option is a mild setup, compared to what could be done, but there becomes a fine line for chasing the HP. I fully understand that in dealing with my Vette's. I guess I really want to know if it's more beneficial for me to just order the car with the package from the Dealer, or should I go with an after-market tuner, and if I go with an after-market tuner do they have the ability to go bypass the 155mph limiter?

Thanks for the compliments. Wanna buy it
My car weighs in at about 4300lbs which is a substantial dif on these pigs (yes mine is a pig too ) The increased weight of the W216 body along with the 63's lack of tuning ability (as compared to the 600 and 65) make it a tough call as to how much you can actually do and get a good return on your investment with HP. By the way the W216 63 look amaaaazing. Yes aftermarket tune will remove the 155mph speed limiter.

Thanks Jay,
Your a gentleman AND a scholar, now who are the GOOD tuners?........I've known in Kleeman for awhile now as well as Brabus, but there was a tuner that you used in IL that I've never heard of before and I'm sure there are others. Trying to search the forums around here it seems that all these cars are pretty much segmented by WXXX, but I'm sure a M156 is a M156 is a M156, regardless to body, right?

P.S. Goodluck with your sale, someone's gonna get a MONSTER!

I hope it sells soon as well, thanks man! I would research the C63 forum and ask those guys as to who has the best tune out right now. I think most of them are the ones doing most of the mods right now. Def stay out of the CL sections, they are dead and suck for info. Ive been away from the forums for a bit so Im not so up on the recent info. Good luck my man.
