CL55 trouble starting after sitting? Any ideas?

CL55 trouble starting after sitting? Any ideas?
A good friend of mine has a 04 CL55 with 43k on it. If the car sits a few days, the starter has to crank for as much as 15 seconds before it will start. It almost seems worst in the colder weather, but not sure if that matters? Once it finally starts, it stumbles for a couple seconds before the idle levles out. Has anyone heard this before or does anyone have an idea as to what may be wrong???

... that or a leaky injector flooding the intake manifold given enough time. this can be troubleshot with a pressure gauge attached to the manifold for few hours. pressure suring that time should hold up.
