Question 2001 CL600 - want to upgrade to CL65 wheels

Hi!

I just picked up my mothers 2001 CL600 and she has the standard 18 wheels/tires. I'm looking to go up to 19's and like the CL65 wheels/tire combination.

I'm looking at finding a used set or maybe some knockoffs? (don't know if I want to go that route however)

I also have found some SL65 wheels but I believe the offsets are off as well.

Would 20's be a good choice or too rough? If 20's how big could I go in tire sizes front/rears?

I greatly appreciate the help!

Hi sl55new,

First congrats on the new car. On the sl wheels, these wheels are different offsets and would not fit on the CL. Offsets on those cars are really low.

20's would be alright for the CL unless you want to go pretty conservative. I currently have Concept One RS-8 20x8.5 et32 front and 20x10 et35 rear. Falken 452's Tire size are 245x35x20 front and 275x30x20 rear.
Most of the cast alloy wheels are very similarly made same with the knock offs. So, if you are looking for just a daily driving wheels it will be ok to use. Hope that helps.

Here are a couple of images of the wheels on my car with the current set up.
