Sunroof creak

Sunroof creak
Did a search but all the answers I found pertained to the Pano roof on the E-Class.
I took it to the dealer and they just added some oil but it begins creaking again after a few hundred miles. An independent shop up the road says the sunroof tracks may be out of alignment but wanted to know if this sounded fair as I normally like to use the dealer for thing like this but they seem pretty clueless with this issue.
Cost isn't the issue, more I don't want the sunroof pulled apart in case it leaks but if the members here think the tracks are out then I'll go for it as it's really getting on my nerves. Does this sound like the likely culprit?
Car is a W216 that was bought new, has had three routine services so far and a total of 22,500 miles.
