Seats Lumbar suport does not work (CL55)
I have a '04 CL55 that I bought a couple of months ago.
The car has 70k miles on it, and everything on the cars works very good, the ABC suspension works nice.. When I dont use the car for more than a month or two it lowers a little... But I just started and returns it to its original height... So no problems with that.
The only problems that I have is that the LUMBAR Supports on the seats does not work at all, same with all the functions that includes this feature.
I heard a little "click" when I activated any of the buttons, but nothing happend.
Before taking it to the stealership, I want to ask here if anyone had this problem with your Cl - S models, since the sistem is pretty much the same on all.
Any help or idea will be very much appreciate it.
You probably need to reset the PSE pump by pulling the fuse or the battery. After that you'll need to check which functions work. Most likely one function has a leak, and is causing the pump to run too long. This causes it to basically turn that function off to protect the pump (pulling the fuse/battery will reset that, so you can diagnose the issue).
Hope that will get you started. If it turns out to be an issue with the bladder leaking, pull the back off the seat and you'll probably see a hose dangling. Connect it back to the bladder and then zip tie it so it won't pop off again.
The 'PULSE' button lights up red when you click it, but it doesn't do anything, same for both driver and passenger sides. And when I click the lumbar switches, the 'PULSE' button goes off, and I hear the motor in the back of the seats, but they don't do anything. I'm not too handy and I really don't know what to look for behind the seats if anything is wonked up lol. This sucks, I need my *** massaged.
BTW, I have a question, while looking at the rear fuse box underneath the seat, I noticed a few fuse slots were empty and didn't have a fuse in them. Only about 2-3 slots were empty if I remember correctly. Is that okay, or is every slot supposed to be filled?
Thank you

When you set it on pulse, the noise you're hearing is the motor moving the bladder up and down, it's just not inflating.
Do the door and trunk soft close work?
You might need to pull the battery to make sure you get it reset to test fully.

Yes sir, the soft touch doors and trunk all work marvelously lol, its just the damn seats. I will disconnect the battery and let you know what's up. Will I lose my presets for my seat, convenience, and radio settings?
Thank you for the help.
And yes, whenever I press any of the bolster switches around, I hear it clicking or moving (for both seats) and whenever I press up the 'PULSE' buttons, they just light up red for a couple seconds and as soon as you press any of theother seat buttons on the bottom, the light goes off.

Good news is your pump and everything works if the door soft close works. Does your passenger seat work? Either a leak or a control module somewhere. Other than opening the back of the seat, which is fairly easy (should be two screws underneath and then it drops down), and looking for a loose hose, I'm not sure what else to check.

I should have listened to you earlier. Pulled the battery, waited 3 minutess, put it back in. Pressed 'PULSE' and my seat started feeling up on me lol
Thanks for your help
