Any reasonably-priced chips for my 05 CL65?

I wanna throw a chip in the car but these Ecu flashes are really pricey. $3500 was the last quote I got from Kleemann. Renntech is extremely pricey too. I have a porsche turbo and chips are at least half the price for that car. Anyone have any leads? THanks.

$1890 for Speedriven ECU and Block Tuner PKG. No need to pull the ECU out of the car. Switch back and forth between files in minutes.

Can you rent or core deposit the Block Tuner? People (I) would be much more likely to do this if they didn't have to ship the ECU or pay for a tuner block that they'll only use once. I know some people want it to flash back to stock, but most will flash and done.

I am going eurocharged, I have worked with Jerry for a year on multiple renditions of my RS6 tune as each new engine mod added. I know his forte is MB, so I am excited.

I'm also looking at eurocharged as well. Prices look good. Any other CL65's that have used them before on this board?

Hmmm can't speak for my cl65, not until next week...but Jerry made tremendous power for my RS6, 424/506, at the wheels AWD auto! And I have the dyno, as well as several stock RS6's, same day same place.

You drive a retail 160k dollar car and just want to throw a 1k tune at it? If the tech and engineering on the drivetrain was that easy to begin with the car itself would not cost so much.

Personally I would never throw a half assed(priced) tune in a 65. Too much that could go wrong.

You've either been reading 1920's-era Rolls Royce brochures or been on the phone with RENNtech sales reps too long.

It's true that the general level of tech is high, but it's just not the case that high price and high tech go hand-in-hand. You could even argue that most of the tech you describe went into the ABC, the ESP, the COMAND system (which, in its time, was revolutionary) than it did into the drivetrain, which used an established and proven 5 speed auto and old-tech (even for 2003) turbos.

I personally wouldn't blindly choose a tune either, and I can't speak for Speedriven, but I have dealt with and used Jerry at eurocharged for my RS6, which for US based Audi's is a Cosworth engine. Ironically just like my RS6, due to small number of CL65's everythIng for the car is expensive...so I guess you argument is the tune should cost $3k as well?..being new to this forum I have seen plenty of threads on EUrocharged and if jerry's tune cost $1499.00 for my CL65, 1/2 the price of the others bonus for me. My RS6 is from bone stock, and EC has worked with me each time I did a mjor modification and spent hours at dyno shops.

lol couldn't agree with you more!!!!! Oh and Richtor, if you want to pay 6k for it, we can gladly accomodate you lol. Our prices are indeed much lower then some, but we have also tuned close to 3000 cars (not all mb) to date so we make up for price in volume.

always fun tuning the RS6's! We have done a bunch of them and CL65's as well. (oh and ya, know your RS6 well, its too sweet!)

Either us (eurocharged) or Speed driven can easily take care of you for tuning, your in good hands either way...

Speed Driven hands down...don't know about Jerry and not saying anything negative but from my experiences Marcin is an awesome guy and takes these V-12's WAYYY beyond what others are doing.

& Customer service is flawless...should at least give him a call.

I think Jerry answered this very well. Eurocharged, Speedriven, Evotech if you're in Europe - all excellent choices that have reasonable pricing.

That particular person was well known on the forum and was banned from here accordingly. We have tuned over 7000 cars, you simply cannot please everyone. If you do your research you will see that we have a ton of happy customers all over the world!

Since when is the truth non-sense? He just posted a link to someone's feedback... and personally after reading that I will never think about tuning my car with EC...

Another friend had his car tuned by EC (M156, flash loader) and he hated it. The first 3 gears were jerky as hell. He ended up paying for a new tune with another company.

You guys need to stop bashing someone because of their post count. Not everyone spend their life online in front of a screen, and not everyone feel the need to post on this forum.

No one is bashing anyone, the guy comes out of nowhere bringing an old thread back when the guy that started the thread either already has a tune or does not need one. Kinda fishy to me 8 posts strong and the first thing to say is bash a vendor without reading the 1000 good comments about them. This is not about EC but all the other vendors as well, we want mods the offer the mods 1000 happy customers and a few confused individuals whodont know what they want and decide to talk ****. Im not at all surprised why these vendors give up on such jokers like you that hear something and dont want to mod because of one person or 2. Go get an oil change and rip up the streets.

Have had ECU tunes done from both EUROCHARGED and SPEEDRIVEN.
I would have ZERO problem using either company again.
