Remove side markers for W215

Does anyone know how to remove/replace the side markers (blinkers) for the W215? Thanks in advance.

I just replaced mine with the clear markers. Its not to diffucult. I did mine in the garage. If you jack up on side at a time you can get under the front and you will see a removable panel in front of each wheel. Just twist the 2 tabs and remove it. The drivers side is actually a little more difficult to reach the side light. On the rear portion of the side light is flat, U shaped portion that you squeeze and push the marker out. It will tilt out. From there, just twist the bulb portion out. The front of the side marker has a couple of hook shape pins that will slide out. I actually couldn't get my large hand up in on the drivers side and had to use a long screwdriver. If you start with the passenger side you can get in there easier and really see what I am talking about ! Hope tis helps !

I just got a screwdriver, a towel, and popped it out with from the left side. Twist to remove the the marker from the bulb.

That's interesting ! I started to do that and was afraid that i would either screw up the paint or break the side light ! My way is definitely more work, but, maybe safer ?

thats why I grabbed a thin towel to make sure I dont stratch my paint it's very easy, it pops right out.

you can also turn your wheel completely to the left or right and do the same method as you said without having to jack it up

I don't see how turning the wheel helps you with the access panel underneath ? I didn't see a panel in the wheelwell ?

when I was installing my LED side markers and HID fogs that's how I installed them. Turned wheel all the way to the right to access left sidemarker. Then I pulled out a couple plugs, and used a screwdriver/towel to pull the panel out. I was able to reach both the LED sidemarkers and fogs that way.

I used the "screwdriver method". Replaced both with clear ones in less than 5 minutes. Looks "clean". Thanks again.

Ha ! Guess I learned something here ! Are the yellow ones still useable ? I figured that would break off the clip !

The yellow ones are still intact. Since I had the clear ones in hand, I know exactly where the tabs/clips are. If you are just randomly pry without knowing, you could break the tabs.

A plastic spatula or other similar tool will pry them out easily.

if you're looking at the sidemarker, it's on the left side. So I guess near the rounder part?
