cl65 exhaust issue

i have had bad luck with my random miss fire on my 2005 cl65 after changing almost every part that involves the ignition system, there still is a miss fire... well today when i started my car.. i was out side admiring the nice exhaust sound the 65 has during a cold start.. then i noticed after it warmed up that the right side exhaust system is acting different then the left side. so i came up to the exhaust and noticed that the right side has less exhaust pressure then the left side, also the left side is allot hotter then the right side, which get me to think that there might be a clog in my right side exhaust system.... maybe the Cat? which might be why i have a Miss fire.... tomorrow i might take out my laser heat gun and check to see if there is a noticeable heat difference between both exhaust pipes, which would suggest a clog in the system... what do you guys think?

Could be a good possibility.
Dealer should replace the cats if your still under warranty.

Your worst nightmare...
Start with the cats... That could explain the misfires... I wonder if some of the cylinders might be shut down as well. Did u do any type of compression test?

Catalytic converters are warrantied by the manufacturer for the lesser of 8 years or 80k miles, per Federal regulations. Something to bear in mind, because even if you're not under warranty, the cats may be.

thanks for all the input, i just bought a back pressure tester for my car and i am going to try to see if there is excesse pressure build before the cats. if i do find noticable back pressure i will show the dealer the specs and have them set me up for a appointment..

Check your exhaust for blockage. Been there... after replacing everything with ignition.

Did you get any engine lights by deleting the cats?

the dealer just called me after having my car at the dealer for 2 days and found out that my mysterious miss fire is becuase of blocked CATS, good thing i am still covered under federal 8 year warrentee for my cl65.. so after replacing both coil rails, spark plugs, coil driver, and fuel filter.. it ended up being a $2000 CAT

also the dealer hooked up there mercedes computer and saw that my turbo temp was way to high and this would cause issues, they checked and said the pump is working perfectly but system might need to be bled..
