2003 CL 55 2003 SL55 2000 S500 DESIGNO, 1999 SL 500 Sport, 1997 S320
Traded SL 55 for CL 55
On May 22nd I traded my 03' pewter/ash SL55 for a 03' brillant silver/charcoal CL55. Comfort, quietness, no rattles, better ride, luxury feeling, and seems to turn more heads too. Acceleration seems to be about the same. Same features except the SL had distronic and keyless go, the CL has auto trunk and parktronic with larger GPS screen, both have V60 phone. When it comes to long trips, I'll take the CL55 hands down expecially in the cargo area along with less effort on the entry and exit.
I gave the dealer my SL keys they gave me the CL keys and knocked 12 months off the lease. The SL had 2,400 when I traded it in and the CL had 14 miles. Both vehicles were at window sticker.

2003 CL55
Congratulations! Good move. I drove my wife's 03 SL500 Sport quite a bit earlier this year and it did not come close to her 02 CL500 Sport or my 03 CL 55 for the reasons that you mentioned. I never drove an SL55.

I did the same thing mine was a sl500 sport 03 for all the same reasons. Good luck I love my cl55 The tire marks can prove it.......

As I believe I mentioned in an earlier post....I did the same thing.
Different driving experience - at least to me. I am just getting close to the 1,000 mile mark so I am looking forward to really seeing what this car has.
So far, my impression has been amazing. Great handling car with incredible torqu both in low end and mid range.
